And so the callouts have begun...

We will soon know which is faster:

My 180-powered Civic vs. an NML stage 10 Skyline.

Video of the race will be posted after it happens.

Here is the drag Civic in question:

One of my friends has one. Bought it right when NML first started making them. I have yet to see his car run, so I have no idea what I'm up against. I do know that my Civic is pretty quick though, so it should be a good race.

hey neuro good luck... i just put in a 260 size motor, but its not performing as i hoped (ie. no tire spins, it accels a little faster than my s2 top speed, and has the same top speed) what other motors owuld you recomend to put in, im looking for tire spinning torque and a high top speed, atleast faster than my s2 top speed. i know your the motor expert, which is why im seeking your help thnx

~M1K3

heres my motor in the car, it has a 12t pinion thats the same diameter as the xmod's 11t, the platic over the motor is the 5 minute motor mount, ill eventually make it nicer

Is that for single suspension or whate ever you call it?

possibly to lower it. or for limiting the suspension's up travel. when you run the car on the chassis the rear tab holds the shock/spring assembly down so that the tires are flat with the ground and the outside isnt.

Same here, I have all my money on the civic. I don't think a custom rewound motor can be that quick.

ok the strings act to limit the movement as well as semi linking the two wheels (like a sway bar) its actually made of a osco twistie... what happened was i stretch the springs as well as doubled the up (ie: 2 springs fer shock) but this kept misaligning the wheels, but with my sway bar the wheel is limited to move as far as i want it... its also good because it basicly mames it impossible for both wheels to condence at the same time, (beter launches) but will allow for slight individual movement (for turns)

Race didn't happen this week, unfortunately. I guess I'll have to goad my challengee a bit more for next week.

I did, however take on something else... (video to be posted later) an HPI AWD 1/10th scale car.

We raced three times, and the results were the same all three times. The 1/10th scale car won. However, the races were very close. He would hook up much better off the line than I could, and pull probably two or three feet on me right off the bat. But I was reeling him in every time, and on the third race, I was at his rear fender at the finish. Oh, and that third race had a spectacular finish, wait 'til you see the video.
