Curious about motor draw

Welp, I just picked up some wire from RadioShack, they just had a variety pack with three guages, 22, 26, and 30. The S2 armatures are wrapped with 30, so I opted to go with the 26 gauge wire(22 would probably be too thick to do much with).

So now I have a 20 turn motor with 26 guage wire and I'm concerned it may draw too much energy for the stock FETs. I don't have a voltage meter or anything to check on my own unfortunately.

So, for all your electronic/motor guru's, do any of you have any estimations on what this motor may draw? Would it be safe to throw in my stock FET'd Xmod?

so ur asking if the wire is thicker will it draw more power?

because if u are then the answer is no... the voltage is controlled before i gets to ur motor... or maybe even on the motor im not sure but no it will not affect it as far as i know

Different motors draw different amounts of power. A stronger motor will burn the mosfets on the board, I know that much. Check out the XMod Science thread for more info on motor draw.

I'm just curious whether or not the motor I wound will burn my stock FETs. It has far fewer winds than the stock motors and that translates to more energy draw. I'm not sure how the gauge of the wire affects energy draw, but I'm positive the lesser winds will have an effect.

I don't have anything to measure motor draw however otherwise, this thread wouldn't be necessary.
