Put all your modded 6-cell Xmods here.

Um, I'm creating a thread where people can put all their modified, 6-celled or whatever cars here, and put reviews on it so that we can save forum space. Instead of creating a thread where the subject is about what people think of their 6-cell cars, or FET'ed cars, or specially modified cars, whatever, we can all put it in one thread!

Let me start: I just did the 6-cell modification to my Xmod, using 6 1.2 volt rechargeable NiMH 700 mah AAA batteries that come in the Xmods rechargeable battery kit. I also used the Stage 2 motor upgrade kit, the blue gear, the wheel upgrade, the hard tread tires, and the antenna cut in half for a more sporty look. I cut the springs in the back in half, then took the half springs and stretched them to make harder springs.

I set it in the garage and started on lo throttle. It went as fast as a 4-cell on hi throttle. Yawn. I hit the hi throttle, and it was like a real NOS effect! The engine was still getting louder before I did a PERFECT drift...a real Nitrous boost effect! The acceleration was also very nice. I can also drift like a madman, and powersliding was never so.....powerful!

Of course, it began to slow down, the batteries got hot, the motor heatsink was hot like a stove, and the underside of the car was warm...right now I'm charging the batteries and waiting for another storm. I'm giving the car some rest, as it has been through a lot of air cutting.

So, what are your specially modified setups, and how do you like them? Post here!

Chuckster...

Do you all 5/6 cell users use a battery holder?

Can someone give me a part # for a single cell holder from RS?

thanks
