My convertible arrived a few days ago, and I figured I would share my observations...
It doesn't appear that the pcb cover and the convertible body can be used at the same time. The low height of the 'interior' of the car sits too low.
The rag top is actually made out of pleather! It is a nice touch, but where it attaches to the body, it actually slides into a slit and is attached on the inside. That leaves quite a bit of pleather on the inside, which mashes down on the gears when placed on the chasis. Some carefull trimming takes care of this though.
My steering magnet was off center, but easily spotted due to the clear chasis!
The front knuckels are just a bit too loose in thier pivots for my taste. They wobble around a bit, and if it presents a problem during racing, I might have to find a way to fix that.
The tires were placed on the rims improperly, and it warped them just a bit and now they don't fit quite right.
All in all a nice little car though. All those things I mentioned just need a little TLC to correct(I didn't mention fixing the paint job either). The included hard top is cool, along with the surf board. I'm happy to have it, and looks pretty sharp.
I haven't checked the interference yet, 40A, but I will report it here if I get any compatibility issues with other cars. (The SP 40B I have controls my MS 47 perfectly!
