AAAA cells mah? and RWD vs AWD
I would like to use 6 aaaa cells to keep the weight and space down but the highest capacity they come in is 550mah NiMh, is this going to be ok with an SB hybrid?.
I'm doing this in part to try to keep up with my friends AWD skyline. We are going for realism and I've said "there is rear wheel drive and WRONG wheel drive" so many times that my friends will think less of me for going with AWD
Any idease for keeping RWD competitive with the AWD?

It would be faster to add a little weight and a lot of power (six 800maH AAAs) than to lose a little weight and lose any (or even keep the same) amount of power (1/3-AAAs).

There's a 3 way trade off here, voltage V weight V runtime.
I think that using more, smaller batteries would boost voltage and therefore power, but runtime will fall. stacking 3 x 1/3AAA batteries in a AAA slot should give the same or similar effect as a 6cell mod, but without the weight gain. Extra AAA cells boost voltage, but add weight. Swapping to AA batteries adds weight and runtime.
I don't know if I'm explaining myself very well , sorry....

Some weight is nessarry, if you do not have enough weight you will not have good traction. (Your wheels will spin and not grab the ground good) I would reccomend that you add 1 or 2 AAA cells, you would gain just enough weight to allow you to make the most of the extra power.
AAAA batteries are not designed to handle the high draw of the X-Mods. So that would not be reccomended.

yeah but if you keep the weight of the car down initially, you can add ballast wherever you need to later to provide that traction.
and the only place I've seen AAAA (also known as AAAL ) are in mobile phones.

Thanks for the responses, I'm just going to add IC3's and end up with 5 or 6 cells since I can get them at cost.
If you want aaaa's search googel and you can get 550mah nimh ones at 12 cells for $37 from europe
