ok heres how to do the turbo/NOS. Not sure what is should be called yet.

OK, so first you mount the second motor in a way that it will be turned by the drivetrain to act as a generator. before you connect the second motor to the first motors pos and neg you have to connect a capacitor form the second motors positive then to a diode then to the forst motor ( capictor and diode ideas are greatly appreciated, thanx to others). since the diode is not letting the current turn the second motor and the second motor is generating electricity, it doesn't matter how fast its turning the second motor because the capacitor is storing all the generated electricity. When that capacitor reaches its peak storage power, a large amount of energy will be realeased to your drivetrain motor. Now, I think this is like a NOS but since it's not controlled by the driver, it's sort of a turbo. Anyone following my concept, plz reply!

i get it but it would be like having a car with micro switches under the pedal for the nitrous.

I get it but why the second motor you dont need it and it would just rob you of power.
I think you could do the same type of thing with a simple circuit to charge the capacitor and when it reaches its full charge it dumps into the motor at a rate determined by the circuit.

It would be a timed delay (time needed to charge capacitor)so you would know that lets say 30 seconds from turning it on you would have a boost then have to wait another 30 seconds or set it up to turn on a led that you can see while driving then you'd know its ready and trigger it from the remote.

I'm not really good at or into electronics but I think it could be done without adding to much weight to the car.

one thing that bothers me is what happens when you dump the extra power into the Xmod ESC, would it fry or you would have to isolate the power when dumped.If the power gets dumped raw with no way of controlling throttle it could be a handful.LOL

But you see, you're gonna have to make up all the electronics which decide when the cap is at full storage and add an extra button that says when to let it discharge, and you're probably gonna need to make a new custom pcb for the xmod, and I don't think you have that kind of equipment on hand.

alright dude,
that sounds like an excellant idea, but i dont think that it should e called NOS at all. think about it, in a car NOS is just a quick fix from a tank, but turbo would be much more apropriate, with a turbo what you just explained it what happens exactly. the turbo spools then discharges using the engines output product.
so i think turbo would be a better name for it.

i have a question, what diodes are you planning on using?
i wanted to do a setup like that for my Mirco RS4 but i had the problem of the power going to the second motor.

as well as that guys response i dont think your gonna need to make any sort of costum PCB or anything of that sort as long as you make it all hardwired. as far as capacitors go, its pretty simple, you probably dont need me to tell you.

i highly support this idea so please keep us updated.
