6 cell with alkalines?
I'm a little hesitant to do the 6 cell right now. The only problem I'm really worried about is using it with alkaline batteries. When you use those, you get a total of 9 volts. I have seen most people using rechargable batteries with them which came up to 7.2 volts which sounds alot safer. I know that some people have been using 9 volt batteries with great reasults but I never saw anybody using a 6 cell set up getting 9 volts. Do you think its safe?

try it. ive heard that there is a resettable fuse inside. if there is too much voltage going through it will blow the fuse. but after you remove all of the batteries it will reset itself after a few minute. wait for some more replys though
