You need to change your format from Real .rm files. You have to pay just to get Real Player now....the jerks don't have a free version. Basically all I'm saying is no ones gonna look at your stuff cause I'm sure alot of people aren't going to buy Real Player.
Geez...I can't believe have money hoggish Real is now....they know their format is on the web everywhere so now they come up after years of real player and make it subscription based to use real player and not have a free version.

Real Player is still free as of 12:28pm EST 10/07/02.
You just have to do a bunch of clicking on very hidden areas.
And if you don't think so try this link:

You're right they freaking hide the download...probably to confuse people so they'll subscribe the their content service.

EXACTLY....
i tend to hate Real since oh 1998 when it was "cool". Now supposedly Windows Media player can handle the .rm files as well as Quicktime. You want a high quality small size file? use Divx or AVI....but come on folks lets kill off greedy software companies...especially those with low end products.
enough of my rant....

Mr007, I checked the video files this morning, and they all appear to be there and available for download or viewing, with the possible exception of one of the videos from 9/14.

Hey Rex Racer,
I emailed you last week (or at least I thought I did). Great videos.
What video equipment / software are you using?

videos
I am using a Canon digital video camera, and Ulead Video Studio 6.0 for encoding. I import the videos to my computer via firewire, encode them first as .mpg files with VCD quality (for buring to CD for my racers) and then as .rm files for putting on the web. I've been unable to encode the files in any format other than .rm at comparable file sizes that are in any way watchable. I know some folks were complaining about real media, but I like to put the whole race up, and not just five seconds. I think some funny stuff happens in these things, and you can't get that from a 3 second clip. And I've been completely unable to encode .mpg, .avi, .mov, or even .wmv at comparable file sizes to .rm and have them come out anywhere near viewable. As such, and with the limited web storage space available to me, my only option has been.rm.
Anyway, comments, rants, suggestions to make the videos more entertaining are welcome.

Also, it would be cool to know the setup of each car. I assume some of the teams are changing motors and gears for different races.
Keep up the excellent work.
