Say Bye Bye to Combi DiDiQ
I think now we can say bye bye and give the Combat DigiQ a good warm hug then throw it away. I bought 3 of the first generation set with no rotating center I was not happy for the big amount I spent on them with poor functions. and even no upgrade or modification!
now chek toyeat they sell clone brand called VsTank you can get 4 tanks and some accesories for about 40 $ the amount I spent for 1 konamy's tank

I'll agree that the price point, for what it seems to offer, the VsTank is pretty attractive.
I checked out the website for the VsTanks, the Konami still reigns supreme in a few aspects.
- Detail.
The Combat Digi-Q is a SUPER-detailed tank (you could easily put the tank on display when not running them)...The VsTank is cheap and LOOKS like it
- Assignable ID#s.
The Combat Digi-Qs you can change the ID to any of the 4 channels you want, can't do that with the VsTanks
- Game Modes
The only mention about capabilities I saw for the Vs Tank was that it keeps track of shots? Very lacking in details...Whereas with the Combat-Q there's multiple Modes (including TEAM modes)
All that said, the VsTanks are definitely cheap enough to be worth a look...But hardly a Combat-Q killer.

I agree with Namuna, there is really no comparison between the Digi q and the Vstank, I mean when you look at the specs, they are really different! Very well put Namuna, btw I think i might buy one or two for parts like tracks or the wheels for modding! :-)

Don't forget, it only SEEMS cheap upfront...The shipping costs from ToyEast is going to bring the 'overall' cost up quite a bit.
I believe I read something about buying replacement treads for the Combat Digi-Q was anywhere from $5 to $10 (maybe even more)...So buying the VsTanks for parts (IF the parts are compatible) could be a solid idea.

Solid point Draconious.
The bits of video I saw on the VsTank looked like it was the same type of steering/acceleration as regular Bits...That is to say, on/off only and not proportional.
Yes, the DigiQ indeed is fully propo.

He uses rotating center, like the vs tank ad does --- it is NOT a rotating turret.. it just means it can rotate on axis does it not? or does it actualy mean rotating turret? Cuz so far as I can tell there are no turret buttons on the controller.

Digi Q rotating turrets rule!
When I first saw those VsTanks, I thought that I would probably live with the quality differences and start buying those to do battle with. But now that I have my rotating turret tanks, I will never go back. Battling with the non rotating turret tanks is awkward. It's hard to line up shots because sometimes the slightest movement will make too much of a difference to your shooting angle. But now, I just do the fine adjusting with the turret. For me, this makes the battles much more fun, and far less frustrating. Therefore, until there is a clone with the rotating turret, I won't even mess with them.

There is a clone with rotating turret... but its a 30$ per tank clone the digi-q are much better... it has on board sound effects for the cannon though...
its like the cheap Z-Tank, but better.. has a grenade for controller etc... I only know of like 3 or 4 places that sell it, and they are either not in USA, or out of stock, or charge more than 30 each...

no these use IR... they only allow 3 tanks to operate at a time, why only 3?! I dont know LOL... they are virtualy identical to the Digi Q plastic shapes in some of the photos as if they were reverse enginered from an actual digi q.. but there are flaws and minor details missing, but other photos they are very different... and the treads were changed.. they have 4 lower wheels instead of the 3 that the digi q has, and its a not-so tall tread... well they might use radio for control....
