Question Can I use clear nail polish?

Hi,
I have a dumb question. I just added some water based decals to my bit. I wanted to put something over them so they wouldn't rip off. Can I use clear nail polish to protect them? If not is there something you recommend?
I'll post pic of my rally WRX soon!

Thanks,
Mini

i strongly recommend that you dont use clear nail polish. It really ruined my bit after an hour of working on the paint job. Just check out your local hobby shop and ask for something made specifically for coating over decals

Yeah, good point. I was just getting ready to go to the store last night and that post came up saying I could use nail polish. I decided not to go to the store. It looks like I am going today now!

thanks

There are pictures of my car strewn about through the forums.
I don't know what type of paint you were using, but it did nothing to my paint except make it very shinny and give it a protective coating.

i got a can of testors HighGlossClearcoat, and maan does that stuff rock!!
it not only makes a protective invisible layer, but it makes your car shine so much that you can see a clear reflection of yourself on the hood

I painted my clear rx-7 body on the inside, I think it looks better this way because it looks like it has a clear coat on the outside.

hmm..im in the process of painting my clear skyline on the inside...
i masked the parts that needed to be, and painted it orange...but now....its like a "pastel" orange because of the clearness...
but ill probably go over the orange with black so its more "solid" looking
