4x4 off road suv

Would it be possible to transform the xmod into a off road 4x4 suv, maybe you can use one of the overland bodys if they fit on it, and give mor tavel for to the suspention ?

ps: How would you rate an miniz enzo against an xmod ? Wich one would probably win the race do to handaling capabilities ?

The Overland is COMPLETELY different from a regular mini-z. It has a beefed up suspension, ground clearance, driveshafts and have a more complex 4wd system than the Xmods. Also takes more bearings.

stock vs stock a mini-z will blow an x-mod away. Hopped up vs hopped up is the same deal until we can find away to install the turbo esc/fetts into an xmod. (the turbo lets you put in a hotter motor with lower # of turns).

Keep in mind though that the mini-z and it's parts are generally 2x as much $$$ as an the xmods.

I think an Xmod or should say Xmods parts could make an offroader that the overland could not keep up with.In fact I have an idea in my head of how I'd like to do it.

Basically I'd start by making a set of solid axles but since the Xmod has dogbones and u-joints I'd raise the diffs a little for more clearence but it would still be a solid axle.Use tamiya's 1/32 scale monster truck tires and have 4WS.
I'd convert an AWD kit or two into the center driveshafts and buy some mini-z coil over oil filled shocks.
4 link suspension and custom carbon fiber chassis.
Lose the RS Xmod rx.
This would more for a crawling truck if I was to go for an offroad race truck I'd keep the independent suspension but make longer arms and add the mini-z coil over oil filled shocks.
Thats about it.

Xmods in stock form might be good for a rally car but thats about all I think.

(these are just my opinions yours may differ)

couldnt u just put bigger tires on the xmod for a type of tire lift kit to get more clearance, an u can unscrew the bottom screw under the chassis a little so you can have slightly more suspension articulation..... possibly an idea for a rally car?

welll since i dont have an xmod, i dont know... but is it possible just to put longer shocks, or other suspenion(i know i cant spell) parts to give it a lift? i would love to have an overland, but i am a poor college stundent.(not saying after the mods are completed that the xmod will cost as much.)

If you got to do it it looks like you could get rid of the front top brace and then shave off the two posts on the chassis that the top plate screwed to.
This might give you as much as a 35mm dia. tire space (Xmod tire dia. is 25mm)

Then with the larger tires you could have more front suspension travel by adding a longer screw/spacer to the bottom of the knuckle.

It could work for a rally car I guess.
