Angry BAD news...GOOD news!!

Well, after THOROUGH investigation into all the motors that would work in the Xmod....I found out that the Megatech 21T engine will NOT work in an Xmod without adding a turbo ESC/Fett upgrade which I'm sure can be done, but have yet to read the docs on the mini-z sister site to tiny-rc. In fact I emplore you to REALLY review all the info you can on some of these mini-z motors before plopping them in your x-mod because a great# of these REQUIRE the turbo or else its "pop goes the ESC".

now the GOOD news.

I read a lot about that NML guy and it seems he's on the up and up and people love his stuff.....plus according to another post here, he's dropped the price from $60 to just over $30......

Gonna go try the Stage 2 yellow I just stuck in there.....

Anyone with the X-speed motor installed want to comment on if they're happy with it vs. Stage 2???????? B/C $30 may still be just a bit pricey for me......dunno will do more research...

Just to correct you, NML dropped the price for only 5 people. Now, they were not 5 specific people, just the first 5 people to send the money/Pay Pal to him. After that, the price went back up to normal. He did the special price to generate some more interest in his S10 motors. Apparently he even had a HUGE over-seas order; the purchasers actually flew over to the US here to pick up the motors. So if you do buy from him, it will cost more than $30, and it will take a while b/c he has lots of these motors to make for people all over the country, and even over-seas. Sorry to rain on your excitement.

motor

Well then it looks like it's Xspeed V for me. There's NO WAY I'm going to pay more that $30 for a motor. If I find any other good candidates, I'll post.

actually he has 24 motors for $33 shipped anywhere in the US. Here is the quote from an email earlier this week.

" For a very limited time, I will offer the motors at a price that's hard to beat. I have 24 motors all ready for shipping by Wednesday. No sooner, and No later, and absolutely no delays. This is a first come first serve basis and some will be put on Ebay.

The special limited time offer for the motors is $33.00, shipped anywhere in the US. Overseas, the total is $36.00."
