Foam Tires
If I were to get the foam tires for an XMod do I have to use the rims that come with them?

No, you can use any rims you want.

well, teh wheels from teh foam tires are a little smaller so you'll need to stretch the foam tires even more to get them on other wheels

The tires are only made to be used with the rims they come with. These rims are sized smaller than the standard XMOD rim size. Also, the standard rims have a ridge down the center and the rims for the foam tires have a smooth mounting surface. So, I would suggest only using the foam tires with the rims they come with.
The foam tires are offered because they offer good traction on some surfaces.
