Problems W/ Skylines?
Has anyone had multiple problems with their skyline xmods. Im on my second one and returning it tomorrow. The first one the steering went crazy and now the current one has an issue the rear diff/drive set up not allowing one to spin. Im wondering about the skyline, cause my roommate has the white supra and has had no problems at all, its kinda weird.

same here, i would return mine but they may be a little hesitant to let me trade it in since i have a few scratches. were urs in perfect condition when you returned it?
mine wont even run now, and when it does the steering is way off and i have to push the R button on the controller like 10 times.
i'm thinking about trading it in for a red supra, my brothers white supra is awesome and has no problems.
stupid skylines

A friend of mine has the differential problem with his Skyline. I think it can be fixed, however, by shimming the short side of the rear axle with washers.

Having a similar problem with my RSX. Something is slipping in the rear wheel assembly when I throttle it. 2nd one to do this out of the box. I believe its the "half moon" axle that fits into the differential that is slipping.
I've also noticed several of my friends XMODS having a problem with the same part that fits into the diff. by shearing off as well. We keep returning them because of this one part because RS doesn't have any spare parts for this. I can't believe they are not selling spare parts for something like this!!??!! All together, we have returned about 4 in the last 2 weeks.

My coworker, has something wrong with her skyline, it just won't move. LOL i told her it's not working cause she's a girl. LOL J/p
I noticed that the rear differential was messed up on most of the ones we have. One skyline gave a squeaking noise whenever the motor hit top speed, another just doesn't move that fast, and the store display's trim takes a long time to use.

It's the shorter axle cup that fits into the diff. The problem I've seen is due to excessive flash on the part causing it not to seat properly. I think it works ok at first, but then wears the hole in the diff and starts to slip. There is generally too much play in this assembly, especially without the ball bearing kit.

ON MY THIRD
I am on my third skyline, first one the rear axle was bent and made the whole car shake. Second one I turned on for the first time and there was smoke and static type sound. This third one the rear wheel does spin right, but the car performs fine.

I have 2 and both have been running good so far. The one gets a good workout on the tennis courts very often too.

My skyline runs great, but the only thing is that the car doesnt drive straight even though I use the steering trim.

viperkilla, i think your steering trim is just like mine, it'll probably take lots of right trim presses to get it to go straight. Takes me usually 50-75 pushes.
