Micro RS4 motor and 7.2 volts...
I have a Micro RS4 Elite stock motor in my Rocket Racer, I plan to run 7.2 volts, do you think this combo will fry the speed control?
BTW: The motor fits whith little modification, pics will come eventully ( I dont have a digi camera ).

That combo will not harm the esc. Many people have run that motor and modified motors at 7.2 volt with no ill effect. Personally I'm running a Peak modified (Wind) in my DRR.

Not sure on the actual speed but theoretically with a 40t spur, 14 pinion, 29mm dia. wheels, and at 26000 rpm the car should top out over 30mph. Your acceleration and run time will suffer, and the motor heats up pretty quickly. Normally I run a 42t spur with a 12t pinion. This should get you around 25 mph.

Hey westbitchoppers, how did you set up a 280 motor in a DRR? Did you have to change the ESC?

well today i put a group 20 slot car motor in my car along with 3 1200 mah. lipoly cells so over 12 volts. whoooooollllly crap................................mabe i over did it this thing hauls a**.....at least 50mph if not more and it gets there in about 1.5 sec! i have a 65 mph nitro car and this thing almost keeps up with a $350 RB racing engine. i cant even go full throttle i need some kind of smooth surface with like 200 feet of runway or somthing, anyways my point put a slotcar motor in your DRR.hehehehe oh yeah i have a 10 tooth pinion on there i think, its small, the motor turns over 30k rpm the thing screamss... i have been using an FMA direct super 30 ESC made for planes but it works. need it for the lipolys.

building the perfect beast
Well, I have major parts on the way for my drr. pinion gears 13,14,15. 40t spur. full bearing set. running 7.2v. and an orion big block motor(30K plus rpms) to power the beast. I also had to throw in some bling-bling with a set of aluminum (silver) rims. Maybe I should ad some wings, what do you think? Pics to follow
