Shen vs. Bit

My friend recently bought 2 Shen Qi Wei's, and as you know they are only $10. Thinking they would suck, he raced both his Shens against my Skyline Bit. I thought the Skyline was doing awesome, but when I raced him, his Shens (completely un-modified) beat my Bit. I havent done any performance mods at all on the ones I used to race him with. So does this mean, a seemingly POS off-brand "Shen Qi Wei" is much better (stock) than a Bit???

I was confused and a little pissed off, and I just wanted to know what was up with that.

P.S. It wasnt just because they have more torque or anything, we tried short as well as really long races.

well shen's are probably by far the best clones out there.... minus the body's bit's have the quality in the bodys that shen's can't touch IMO

I have found that in stock trim, the BIT's get waxed by a number of cheaper clones. (like Shens, Nakamichi, Enertec, Panthers(?)and Motorworks) I think part of the reason may be that the TOMY motors are not as strong as the stock clone motors.

my shens are much better than the my ms, the ms stock motors which i think are the same motors have hardly any tourque compared to the shen, also my 4.2 motors work better in a shen than a ms

ms will steer better than a shen and have better looking bodys that can be fixed with a body kit
