Well I called every Hobby Town in AZ, none are participating in this program, BUT I found one that has races every Thurs. and Sat night. I'm all excited, but unfortunatly it's a 2-3 hour drive, and I don't even drive.
I'm thinking it's time to just donate one of my cars to a buddy so he's got his own, get's all into it, then I tell him about the Hobby Town races, yeah that's the ticket.
No prizes here it's just for fun, but they have different classes, and the guy on the phone said there's some heavily modified cars. Yeah we'll see how modified. If you hang at the Gilbert Hobby Town, I'm coming for ya.
...and about mosfets, YES they are worth every penny. At about 3 bucks for a set of 4.
Mosfets add a little top speed, but really they give you way more power which will allow you to run faster gear ratio, and faster motors, and still take 'em off the line.
Use Payaso's link to BitPimps, there is bunch of info there on where to find, and install them.
BTW, 2 of the mosfets will have to flipped, and use jumpers. One glance at your PCB and people will know something's up, but I have a cheater trick. Just swap out one forward one, the one that doesn't need to be flipped, and you'll get a nice boost in performance, not as good as a full mosfet mod, but it is noticably quicker, and no one would ever be able to tell, unles they were familiar with the tiny marking on the transistors, and whipped out a magnifying glass, but otherwise no one would ever be to tell
Oh yeah, and the regular Perfection King 4.2 works good in my Super Bits, but it's too sluggish off the line for me. The Perfection 4.2 pro is a good strong motor, I like it.
