I would think that the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) would be Tomy/MS and the Clones would be anything else "Bit" sized. It makes perfect sence.

I think you should differentiate between booster , 2 speed BITs from single speed BITs. I prefer the boosters over the single speed BITS/CLONES but I like the ZZ better than the Single speed BITs. Having 2 speeds makes hard core speed mods like dual/triple cells and FET mods easier to handle.

oem is usually referred to as aftermarket parts. like tinyrc's motors would be oem motors. clones would be oem bits by that definition.

and to answer your question: clones = cheap with good range and good motors

bits = the best chassis/the standard/poor electronics and motors

a bit with clone pcb and motor = crushing

zipzaps = a decent product but they are huge

Well coming from the computer world OEM means just that... ORIGINAL. Meaning that if you are an OEM dealer for MicroSoft, for instance you can sell their original OS with the PC that you build and get the product at a discount.

ZipZaps are good, they have better tire treads, better quality car tops, and they also have hubs to match the car tops. They are a little more upgradeable than Bits or MicroSizers. They have equally sized wheels, and catchy motor names. LOL just throw in an NZ motor OR an R-spec v2.0 and Red gears and you're on your way!

i like the original bits best, the clones have cheap parts (that's why they're cheap), and the zip zaps are good but too big for tastes, and big = more weight
