Zip problems

I was playign around w/ extra batts, and i made a dual (not laymans). then when i took it out of the car and put in a single cell, the car would only move or work when it was on the charging base of the remote. help?

did you check your antenna? maybe you damaged the solder connection or the wire itself and it isn't making contact.

there's probably a short somewhere, you know that whole path of least resistance crap, anyway go through and check the wiring and the pcb for a short.. hope you have a multimeter, goodluck

If it works on the charger than I would suspect that the battery you put in is bad or isn't making contact with the battery terminals. See, when it's on the charger, the terminals are connected directly to the charger contacts. When you remove it, it is running off the internal battery and therefore is dependant on the battery being good and having a good connection. Id check the battery and the contacts the battery touches.

At first tought would be a bad or weak battery, however most often its the contacts. Had a similar problem.

Yup, I'd put my money on the contacts. They probably got spread apart or moved when the dual cell mod was done.
