Micro Helicopter
I found these the other day on ebay. Anyone have the chance of trying one out or seeing one in action? They look like they charge just like a regular micro.

They're not exactly micro (well i guess as RC helicopters go) Is that the one made by Air Hogs?

i used to have one of those you can control the throttle so it goes up &down but it spins in circles and your supposed to pick up little ppl with the hooks on the bottom of the helocopter. that why in the third pic you can see the string that connected to the helocopter

Crap! You're right, it doesn't steer. I don't know who makes them, but for the price and no steering, it's not worth it. Maybe if they were only $10 dollars.

Not to sound negative but my dad has one and it sucks. There's one trigger on the controller. You pull it and it flies up. Let go and it will spin and then plummet. Pull the trigger again and it will fly forward for about 2 seconds, spin and then go up again. push the trigger the other way and it immediately stops the blades. We have a huge field and I flew it up from the very middle. I let go of the trigger because it starts to spin one way. It almost crashes but I quickly pulled the trigger and it turned by itself and hit the very top of a tree about 200 feet away in our neighbors yard. So my dad and one of his employees had to climb up and get it. It was a dissapointment because ever since my dad was young he wanted an rc helicopter. Finally he finds a cheap one and buys it. And it was this. All in all, unless you know how to rewire helicopters and get computer chips, I wouldn't buy it. It is fun to hover around cats though.

As far as I know the cheapes 4ch RC Heli, cost around 200$ and it has a gyro (this is a must in a RC Heli).
It is mainly for Indor, and pretty small (50 (25+25)cm main rotor) ... anyhow it is quite hard to navigate ... but lot of fun .
Below 200$, I don't believe it is possible to gat a decent RC Heli.

and you still have to get a radio and servos, so it actually costs more than that

No,
With 200$ you get a RTF : Charger, Radio, Servos, Giros, Battery ... and the Helicopter

i could probably make a bit helicopter. of course it would only have the forward-up flying, and it would just use the rear rotor to turn.

I thought there was a toy out there that was like a helicopter it hovers, you can fly it around and I even think it had a scrolling message display for around $80. or $120. (maybe more expensive) but it looked more like a flying saucer with three(maybe four) motors for lift and direction control.I'll see if I can find info on it.

here is a link to it but it is a tethered flying toy for $89
I think maybe you can fly this untethered but I'm not 100% sure.
does anyone have one or seen one?
