Hmm... Easier effective dual cell? Could be!
Check this: http://www.zipzaps.com/zzTips.asp go to Add Run time to your Zip-Zap I'm thinking of doing that but wired for speed. Do you think it will work good? And also I'm scared to flip the PCB any tips on the internal? If it works it will be my first dual cell .

nope it won't work. They forgot to post how to charge it properly and second of all it won't extend the runtime, only puts out more voltage

if u wire them in parallel then u can charge it easily by chargin the car 3-4 times before running it. But if u wire them in series u gotta deliver more voltage to the batts so ud have to make a custom charger with 3-4 aa or aaa batts.

I hope you're kidding with us, because if you're saying that for real, prepare to be disappointed.
Wiring batteries in series puts out more voltage. Wiring them in parallel gives you more battery capacity. So, More power getting put out means increasing the juice delivered to the motor rpm , and putting out more mah means more time before the motor stops.

Okay I'm confused now lol. So if I wire them Negative to Postive and Postive to Negetive it will give me more power? But thats exactly what they did and they claim it gives more runtime. And if I wire the + to + and - to - it gives me more runtime? As soon as i figure this out Ill do it. Lol its ur fault im confused charlie!

Oh good grief!!!! You take the battery inside the car, tape one end of the foil to it's negative side and tape the other end to the positive end of the other battery. Then tape a foil strip to the negative side of the 2nd battery and tape the other end.....hang on I'll post a pic. The gray shaded area is the foil and the black area is the tape

here i think this will help. (i hope)
and for the charger, go buy a 4 aaa batt holder and stick a chargin pod thingy on it. Charge ur duall cell for about 1 minute. Thats only if u choose to do series wiring tho. If u do parallel wiring u dont need a new charger, u just gotta charge it 3-4 times over and over to get the batts full.

Is there a link to a guide that shows how to do a dual cell and controller mod for the purpose of providing more voltage?

Guys, try doing a Google search for series and parallel wiring.
There are TONS of basic electronics sites where you can learn how this stuff works for real.

You'd have to solder (or shrink wrap) the wires to the batts. but it should work.
Or you could try the Layman's Dual/Tri Cell mods. Somebody is even working on a Layman's Quad Cell right now!!!
Layman's battery mods are GREAT for performance. They weigh pretty much the same, if not less, and that doesn't affect the weight of your car. So, you would have more power.
