Because they tease other people using this. They rub this in the contest's losers' faces. They post prizes that are hard to get and when SO MANY people enter and lose, they feel so saddened and emotionally downsized that they didn't get those retired kits. See, companies in this country care more about sweet cash than their customers who enjoy or want their product, those sadistic mother****in ****sucking sons of ......sorry, I just get so disgusted with those people.

I think all contests are like this one charlie brown. I don't think they're doing it to tease anyone. It's a basic marketing gimmic to keep intrests strong in their product.
If you win, great, if you lose, that's cool too becuase you didn't really lose anything. Losing something you have should bring you down, but losing a contest that at the very most will cost you some time, energy and postage really shouldn't affect you so badly.

Sessiz speaks wisely.

If it's any consolation, the words 'retired' to me sounds more like the earlier 1st or 2nd generation cars that had problems putting out the proper amount of power for the higher RPM motors...No big loss not getting that!

Namuna, Namuna!!!! I'm talking about the retired eclipse, RX-7, and supra!!! How am I supposed to get those now if I don't win the contest? (which I will NEVER in a million years.)

Besides, I actually like the limits and solid looks on those cars....sure, no NX 34,000 rpm, but a layman's tricell in those cars won't allow the Higher motors anyway! And The older designs in my opinion can't be beaten by 2F2F.

They are still redily available in some areas. My local RS manager had some transfered from those areas. Thats how I got all the ones I missed before Christmas.
