Calling All Modders
**sigh**... sorry to post this again, but im a little bit on the desperate side.. i deleted the other thread as to not piss people off tho =)
im wondering if the 45 MHz Silver Supra controller has a crip cap in it, because i cant find it.. there's a brown lollipop thingy on the other side of the board (the side with all the pins and stuff).. but it doesnt connect the green resistor to the correct thing.. is this a new way of crip capping? or should i leave it alone..?
Thank's for any help! and sorry again... =(

My Supra had terrible range out of the box.. So bad that I almost sent it back to ToyEast, but I adjusted the "POT" filter on the PCB, and now it gets like 30 feet. Controller is still stock..

I think they were in such a hurry to release the Supra that they didn't take as much time "fine tuning" them.
I turned mine clock wise, and made small turns at a time..
I think if you give your cars a little TLC, they perform like you want them to to an extent...

oh.... heh, i can see why... mmm supra... just got mine on friday, i love the hell out of it!!
it seems that it has a lot more power than my old generation celica with the same motor.. and flips a LOT more, and seems lighter...
well, i guess i gotta be nice and careful tuning the POTS thing... black screw on the top of the PBC board rite?
aaand... i shouldnt be using a magnetic screwdriver rite?

There is a hole on the PCB, and the "POT" is in there. You must use a plastic screwdriver, or you could bust the ceramic screw.

i tried my metal precision screwdriver 2day, it's really small, but apparently not quite small enuf... the screw's sunken in pretty far into that white plastic thingy...
hmmm... about how hard would you ahve to push/turn...? im freaked to bust my supra.... lol

It turns pretty easy.. Try sanding down a toothpick to look like a screwdriver..

still have yet to mess with the POT... i got my supra when it first came out and it had a crip cap that i removed from the controller, all that's left right now is the body sitting and collecting dust. The PCB was donated to my bit-zap and the chassis sits naked in a baggy lol
the POT is gonna get messed with now though, can't help myself!
