My 4.8v monster
Have i created one of the fastest zip set-ups at this time. It has 3.4nx motor, red gears, 2 internal batts, 2 external batts--with the ff2 body top. All aside from the springs, custom antenna, and other mods yet to come. Tell me what you think. THis thing goes wayy too fast--it clears the with of my kitchen (about 10-12 ft) in under 1/2 a sec. (too short to count)

another plus about this mod---I have not drained the battery since the first charge, THis thing keeps going and going and going. Now that i know its capabilities, I replaced the 3.4 with a 1.6 and the reds, with blues too keep it more controlable.

I think I still have the fastest, 11.6 mph and 1.75 in a scale 1/4 mile (see signature). I checked times with a simple lapcounter . It was very easy to make and use, way easier than doing a dual cell mod!

No offence but all I race is 1 cell. I think more than one cell is a lil cheap unless you race for money. Single cells seem more "pure" & i just feel cheap when driving a dual cell. It really shows the timing, talent & real speed of the driver. Plus I enjoy technical tracks a helluva lot more than drags. I'm not saying dual cells are bad but in a way its like a drug. Made to enhance but eventually it'll take over & have some nasty side effects*insert puking smilie here* Dual cell cars can be fun I admit when jumping but with a good friend & two different frequency single cell cars you can do more than just drag. Plus I already whoop my friends in racing enough (we play demo derby & other games more now) Maybe its just because I'm the kinda person who turns all the driving aids off in my racing games just because I 'm the "I should learn to do it right because it makes me feel better about myself & I can call other people wussies for turning aids on & laughing when they say "please enable the aids" when I host in online racing"
Now thats a mouthfull
Enjoy your dual cells
BTW: Good move on going back to the 1.6 on your 4 cell. High speed motors (3.0 & up) burn up easier when using multiple cells. Kinda like an old Nascar Qualifying Engine (made to run 3 or 4 really fast laps but will wear & burn if run much more) Good riddence Nascar made the single engine rule
My english teacher would be proud Were doing a few persuasive essays in English class

Did you modify your circuitry?? Or are you suing stock?? I know if you use that many cells, the pcb would fry instantly. And, what do you use to charge it??

It is a custom antenna (solid core wire). Performace wise, i don't think it does much, but i like it because it can be bent into any shape and stay (Much more rigid than the stock flimsy piece of crap). I charge it with my modified controller which runs on 4AAA batteries. It uses the stock charging timer, which seems fine for me. I ordered a lights, and better transmitter for it (allelectronics). I also modded the pcb for best performance (trial and error using 3 old pcbs).
