Questions about EPOCH

I've never really heard of these things untill recently and i wanna learn more cuz they ook really neat and i think i want to get one. I'm eitehr gonan get and EPOCH or a DigiQ. Can you please tell me some good sites that have soem cheap prices so i can get a good deal on one of these bad boys. And if you could telll me what i should do to the car when i et it, it would help out alot.

Okay, you should read some of the thread's entitled something like "a few questions", or like "Epoch or Mini Z". There will be excellent descriptions of the Epoch in there.

Where to buy?

Tinyrc.com, dinball.com, sigmaautomotive.com, intrepid.com, apex-rc.com, hlj.com, and I'm sure there are others.

Make sure you buy a spec-2. Easier to work on, and faster. You can also add a 4th cell much easier than on a spec-1.

Mod's...

1. Adding a 4th cell. (most popular)
2. Adding a 5th cell. (my favorite)
3. Soft suspension springs (a must)
4. Soft compound tires (I love 'em)
5. Aluminum wheels (stock plastic is faster though)
6. Rally bumper vs. street bumper
7. Transmitter upgrade (perfex mini-z Tx)
8. Cosmetics

There are probably tons of other mods, but my very most important are the 4cell and soft suspension springs.

Adding more than 4cells is kinda sketchy, and you should wait before you do it. I love the soft tires, along with my custom painted plastic rims. Other than that, springs, and my 5cell, my car is stock and runs great.

Why is it Epoch vs. Digi-Q? You should check out the Yokomo Puchi Maru. I have one that is a 3cell and it is soooooo much fun. It is the size of a Zip Zap but FULLY PROPORTIONAL. The Digi-Q has a delay to the controls because it is infra red. The Puchi is radio/no delay, but propo!!! Mine is much faster than my 2cell Bit, but FULLY PROPORTIONAL!!!
