The range is too good

These things fire IR at each other like your TV remote. Unfortunately, the weapon bounces around and if the tanks are too close (within a couple of feet), a shot in any direction will hit. To tell you the truth I don't use them that often because I spend too much time racing. I've thought about putting straws on the guns to make them require better aiming. Once you get them 6' away from each other, then you have to aim much more precisely. You can hit each other from more than 15' without too much trouble. I haven't really tried too much farther than that.

I love them. The motors are hardwired and it is one of the most difficult to mod. The body just doesn't come off. It has the terets circuits glued onto the body with wires connecting it to the chassis. I was hoping to throw in another battery, but tossed the idea because of the difficulty.

For the price, I can say it was one of my best micro purchases. But, like mc2 mentioned, you can't fight up-close.

You'll be happy you did. That's about what I paid for them. Maybe more since they came from Hong Kong. Just make sure you fight at a good distance. The farther you are the more sharp your shooting will have to be.
