new microsizer pro's

ok, im trying to get information on the new Microsizer pro's. there is currently a version in toys-r-us. i have been told that this is not the real pro, and that the real pro will have 6 different freq. so could one assume that this is the real pro and they are only releasing 2 frequencys right now.? apart from the frequencys i am not aware of any other changes.. are there any. does anyone know. TinyRC has told me that the hobbico rep assured them that there will be new ones coming out..

i just hope this isnt like the mini cooper body hype....

RCmod told me that the mini never came out because they lost the licensing rights with BMW. they were going to come out with a Z3 body style and an e46 style, but they didn't want to pay the ridiculous amount that associated with the BMW name.

Volkswagon was a cheap alternative and they closed the deal on that. they were also planning on having a VW bus body, but the beetle didn't receive the amount of love MS was expecting due to the scalpers buying up all the Beetles and reselling them for an arm and a leg. they may try again in the future, but now there newest concern is releasing the Lambo Contach, a few Ferrari styles and Porsches. ofcourse bit char-g has the promotional lock, but MS will follow suit in the months to come.

the next thing is posting the perspectus for all to see. haha

No, this will NOT be like the Mini. Yes, you are correct, the ones selling now are only half of what the real PRO's get you, while the ones now do have boooster buttons and a extra clear body, they do not have the choice of the six sub-frequencies. Hobbico already has all of the new PRO cars (the ones wiith sub-frequencies) in their catolog, they all already have product numbers too. I personally don't race with anyone, so my normal 49 mhz PRO works just fine for me.

i guess i say it will be like the mini, because they had the mini on their website as a "coming soon" type body with a part number.. but it never happened. they just switched it with the beetle.

so im more than half right. the frequencys are the only thing different. does anyone know if these frequencies will be changeable...

i emailed microsizers and here was their resopnse...

Quote:
Thank you for your recent e-mail. It is still 2 frequencies but you will be able to race 6 car at one time. I have not heard when they will come out yet.
This person works for microsizer... and had not heard a release date yet...

so without a release date i think im just gonna go get the pro for 19.99.... instead of waiting for the mythical 2 freq, with sub channel MS Pros... after all that is the only difference between the one out now and the proposed one.. although when the new ones come out if they do, the automodelista set will probably also come out....

That is what I was talking about, they have product numbers. I found that out and posted it about a month ago. Here is the thread.

Isn't this weird? Normal Microsizers are 100 points. MS Pro is more expensive but only has 75 points.

My Toys 'R' Us had them at that price. They were completely sold out of the Pros, and the shelves were overflowing the week before, glad I grabbed one when I did. I was kinda tight on money, I thought it could wait until payday, but I thought what if they sold out, so I bought one and they did sell out less than a week later, but I never really thought they would, you know?

They had plenty of the $14.99 Sports left. I wasn't going to get one, because I was buying a Bensu Cannonball clone, for a PCB board donor, but then the clone rang up for $13.99, so I said never mind, and went back and got a Sport. Then on the way home I remembered I wanted the clone for the separate charger. I already have one I like use, and I wanted a second. I also wanted the Hummer body, and the 2.6 motors that come in them are decent, much better spare motor than the 1.6 in the Sport.

It's ok that I got the Sport, because the PCB board in these seem a little punchier than my Bit, and the Zip Zap that received it is smokin' with dual cells, but I'm still kicking myself in the butt for getting the MS because it seemed like a good deal, but since I was just looking for parts, the clone would been the better deal.

Oh well.
