Messed up painting project.

Here's the result of rushing a paint job, not doing it thoroughly, trying to finish it in 20 minutes, and painting it carelessly. This was done on a red porsche. I tried to do a blue to orange fade. I used Testors Spray paint. Oh well....

Great idea. That teaches a good lesson; never rush paint. The best paint usually takes the longest (unless it's your first time doing paint). Hey, at least the chassis still works. One question, if you can't get porshes anymore, why not save it and try the job on something else first?

Well, I decided to do it to the porsche because I hadn't touched it for a long time, and I decided it needed something new....so I gave it this paint job. I don't really mind the messiness, in fact I like it that way.

Also, the rusty kind of fade, and the messiness, just gives it that trashy look, making it look as if it survived a lot of crashes and dirty obstacles and what not....it's like it resembles me, it's like it's MY car and not something everyone else has, I can actually call it my own design without tryint to imitate something from 2 Fast 2 Furious.

Yup, had a good laugh at it myself.

Anyways, I'm thinking of getting some thinner soon, and some primer, and repainting the porsche.....good thing I took pics of it.

did u just use a brush or air brushed it?
i would have maybe tried dry brushing it from both sides to where you want to fade

I used Testors spray paint....comes in a metal can, with a nozzle on top, push it down and it sprays.
