best thing i do is just open up the chassis and take out the steering spring [clean it up with tape if there is junk on it] and then just put it back again..

You might try a couple of things before you open it.

Move the adjuster back just a hair. I've heard of this working for people...it's as if you can adjust it TOO far.

Move the adjuster even more to the side. It will lift the little white tab up and out of the normal recessed area, but it may work.

This is a common problem, usually caused by an off-center magnet. If you are certain that the trim cannot be made to work, you need to open up the front end, and make sure the magnet is perfectly centered, and that neither of the coils are away from their proper places.

I had a strange steering pul on my booster but decided to live with it, until when mounting an extra Battery I snapped two of the steering coil wires(clumsy me) After carefully soldering the ends together I found that my steering has rectified itself. Also has anybody tried to remount the coils further apart by drilling out holes behind them. In order to give a wider steering track?
