I was browsing around one day here when I was inspired by a thread I read describing a "no dremel" mod for 2 cells. The batteries were vertical, but the PCB was taped over the back. That's when my idea hit me, with only a little dremeling/sliceing, it's possible to mount the PCB in a very trick fashion.
So there you have it,, props to the modders who inspired this mod. (sorry I can't remember your names)
Instructions are at my website,, WWW below

I *think* it was my car you're talking about. But I'm sure I wasn't the first person to try it. Anyway, I give Bunta a lot of credit for actually taking time with this mod and doing a write up to help other people out. Great job, Bunta! Definitely a valuable member of the forum. Your work looks a heck of a lot cleaner than the hack-jobs I put together.
Here's a link to the "no dremmel" thread with the internal 2-cells.

question about handling
Bunta,
I recently did my first internal dual cell with both cells under the PCB. I love the way the car handles with the change in weight distribution. Do you notice any handling difference between this vertical dual cell mod and the horizontal/under PCB version?

Hi Peeps,,
hue35,,, Most of my 2 cell cars have winglets so I rarely worry about flipping in a high speed turn. With the winglets I'd say my 2 vertical mod cars seem to turn tighter,,, but I guess you can acheive the same results by adjusting your tires.
To answer your question, I believe my 2 vertical cell mod cars turn a little bit better than my previous 2 cell mod with winglets,, If you don't plan on using winglets I would say the 2 horizontal battery mod works better,, but only by a little.
