It sounds like you wired the batteries in parallel instead of in series. You'll get lots of battery life this way, but not much gain in speed.

Thats not it, as I said, I wired it up previously and it was fast, and I also know that its wired right, besides, I don tget anymore run time with it.

take a voltmeter adn measure the voltage on the two contacts on teh bottom of the car. if u are absolutely sure its in series but ur getting the voltage of one battery, run it til it drains, then charge it at like 6 volts for 2 minutes or so and try it again, i find sometimes right after a dual cell or tri cell mod, the battery needs a bit of "jump starting" but once i get the dual cells working like they should (pumping out 2.6 volts max) it's fine after that. i only c this problem if i use brand new batteries

i have the same problem....

i was just about to start a new thread about this, when i came across this one. i am havingthe same problem, i wired them in series and i bought 4 new microsizers (2 49 mhz and 2 27 mhz) and i cant get any of them to work it just runs like normal. i am using a 3.6 v 250 ma ac adaptor wired into one of those charging bases from a cannonball clone. i thought maybe the new microsizers had a resistor somewhere. then i found a resistor on the underside of the pcb and its connecting the F and the B together, should i remove this or does it have some purpose cuz my tomy bits from hong kong dont have this. someone please help me im about to remove the resistor and i dont wanna kill the bit. does anyone know if its keeping the dual cell from working or is it like what that other guy said i just need to charge and drain them a few times. i put the mutimeter on them and it says between 2.53 and 2.6.

Sounds like it maybe a short somewhere. Anyway we can see pics of the dual setup inside the chassis?
Is the second battery's contacts making any kind of contact with the pcb?
Are the batteries or one of them getting hot at all when charging?
Have you tested each battery seperatly to see if they are putting out what they should?

if you're talking about a circular brown thing that resembles a small advil pill, that's a capacitor and it's there to filter out noise. i took one out of my 27mhz zipzap civic and it did nothing but just in case, keep it there
