Flipping bother no more......

Iv goten a neat idea from one of my old rc cars....
it invilves a solid axle in front though, and dual motor steering.

I just think it woul dmake a fun car, not for races or anything, but have the body slightly "shorter" than the wheels (have to use bigger wheels preferably rounded) so when it flips, you can use the reverse to go "forward"..... kinda understand what I mean...

Then you could take to stairs, tables and anything... if proportions are right all it will do is bounce on its tires.....

I at the moment have not the resurces to pull off a project like this, so I was just wondering if anyone is interested or would like to give it a shot?

They have a Tyco R/C like that. Seems cool though. It would look kinda weird, but I'd sure like to see it in action. Could act like a rug runner too. What happens if it gets stuck on it's side though?

Landing on the side of its tires would be somewhat of a challenge. since they would stick out farther than the body.... if it did happen though, I believe just hitting the gas would casue the tire to spin and perhaps fall down.....

u could make the rims be sorta like a cone shape so if it went on its side it would flip itself right side up

very possible...

I beliebe if using "roundish" tires it would be uneeded though.... I wanna build it so bad.. in the process of moving from a different country.

please someone give this a try! :P

Rug runner mod seems very good to do this mod with. Just need some bigger wheels. Maybe some mechanical pencil tips could be used as the cone for the wheels. Make sure you're using a REM magnet and it is glued in. This thing will be ropping all the time so you don't want it to get off center. I think you could use some Mini 4WD wheels.

What I did was make the rear axle longer I just wished I had those pullback wheels.

That is a nice idea!
The problem is that on a Bit/Clone the front and rear wheels will hit each other before getting to the size you need.

It would work on a Zip Zap chassis I bet.

I just looked and my "Another Monster Wheelset Mod" comes remarkably close to doing just that.

That means my next monster wheelset will definitely clear!

How about a tiny gravity activated switch to reverse the steering lines when the car flips too? That might be doable, and the Zip would give you interior space to use.

Whoaaaaaaaaaa! I guess you could get it to work without the body on like yours. There is one problem about these kind of cars. What if you drive off a really high place, and land upside down so that your back axle pops out?

strider_mt2k-

Ever play that game on playstation "Rollcage"?! Your twisted creation reminds me of that... sweet job!
If you mount a Bit racer body on that chassis and it's a perfect match.

I have been thinking about this mod for a long time... I would go extended bit chassis myself?

I'm lazy, and I don't trust my ability to stretch a body and keep the wheels aligned properly, that's why I'm going for a Zip Zap.

I have a few KIT Racer bodies I could adapt....

Interesting... (As he eyes up his X-Men RX-8)
Nope not touching it, no way.

How do you mod a K.I.T. Racer body to fit? I have all the bodies, and only the one with acceleration set sort of fits. I want to get the slalom one to fit.
