vtheo-

I just got a nakamichi racer on eBay for $1.50 + $3.00 shipping. The minute I received it, I tore it apart. You get a NICE set of wheels already mounted on compatible knuckles and rear axle, some dual nimh batteries that could be used for a nice internal dual cell, and a steering arm with spring that seems like it would be compatible (haven't tried it yet). I've seen several of these on eBay recently. Just bid on the cheapest car you can find on eBay and use it for parts.

I have a stripped clone just for parts, the steering on the clone was very bad(motor was fast tho ). I tried that steering arm... it was bad on the bit too. Anyone know a place that you could get a bit/microsizer steering arm. I have heard that nothing steers like a bit/microsizer, and the limited expeirence i have with clones they are right. i took off the dual steering spring, its better but it is realy tight one way and realy wide the other

edit

dual celled??? or just a battery that would work with the stock batt of a bit or clone

I dont have steering springs, but i find that the QFM ones are good for high speeds but on rough surfaces going slow they make friend's car bounce around.
I like the softest red bit stabius b/c it gives enough "squish" between the front wheels to make the turning smooth and have the front slip out a little bit (a good thing with fast motors)

Whenever i use no suspension at all, my car's reaction time and steering is REALLY bad. Most of the time i forget to put one in and then i think i broke something

i got my springs off a broken walkman tape player, they were right inside, but I needed a screwdriver to pull them out with. they fit right on the steering knuckles and cut perfectly into two.

I've had tons of problems with bit/ms steering. QFM or RCmod probably has the parts your'e lookin for. I think nothing steers like a Thunder Charger (You can get them for $5 at BigLots in the Toy Section)
