I think the independant suspension is a key component just as much as the 4wd. In the 1/24-1/28th class this car has the most suspension settings. Where i am planning to race i have to use 2wd to allow the others in the class a better chance, as the current track is kind of slick.
Many people have made 4wd versions that will work with the 130/180 motors and still keeps a center shaft. However this requires a new chassis and everything. I do remember some X owner trying to make this idea....forgot his/her name though.
