lol.. i could say the same about yours.. as your mirrors every other bit based fan site out there.. not like anyone is going to be taking home the thophy for originality.. but i like your track payaso.. what type of cord did you use to outline it?? thats the exact same thing i was planning on doing to mine (painted the layoutlastnight) i originally was going to do somethign with balsa wood.. but then tried my extension cord.. and it worked good.. but i dont wanna glue or nail it down.. as i still use it alot . i also like dr drift track.. but am afraid its much too involved for me to attempt something like that...

The track actually belongs to CaobWabo. I haven't had a chance to race it yet. I will though one of these days. He takes care of the stuff in STL and I do it in FL.

I'm thinking that he used some sort of rubber tubing used in sealing windows, but from what he tells me, it won't stop the car on impact. It lets the car slide off and keep racing..

well that's your opinion, which is fine. I just have my own, which should also be fine.

I guess I'm just wondering how you figure it mirrors every other fan based site out there when not a single one can come close when it comes to design, layout, graphics, entertainment, etc. I don't know of a single site that uses bits and homies quite like we do. Any posts made here with homies next to their bits were spawned from payaso's posts way back when. I'd say that's what makes us quite original, if anything, other sites are trying to mirror ours and doing a very poor job at it I must say. Matter of fact, there's only a few sites I know of that rival ours, and we're not in "competition" with them or anything, but the only way their better is that there is a larger community, hence a larger resource of information is floating around, but just wait, we'll get there.

i didnt say your opinion wasnt fine.. and no your not the 1st to model your cars with homies.. ive had mine next to my cars since i hav had cars.. i have tons of little toys.. @ any rate.. thats not the point.. you called him a copy cat.. and hes not original.. thats not fair.. b.c your site isnt original either.. it looks nice and is cool and all.. but he didnt copy you. he didnt copy anyone.. if anythign you copied tiny rc.. forum/gallery and qfm for mods i mean come on man.. dont be so eager to claim fame.. just b/c yoru so proud of your website that you obviously put alot of time into...

copying mods?
umm no, all content is original content, period.
Show me another site about Bits, that concentrates on the entertainment aspect via creative content and imagery. This site, QFM (really one in the same, after all their hosted at the same place) or any other I've seen do not look, feel or behave anything like our site.
you better do your homework more before you make accusations.

anyways, you have your opinions, I have mine. We don't need to discuss the symantics of web development here, though if you would like, I can. And your opinion is exactly the reason why I don't really try to "advertise/whore" my site out. I feel that's another quality that seperates us, we don't have just anyone as member so the quality of content and discussion doesn't every really get as poor as this convo did.

no hard feelings on here, hope none there either, we're just disagreeing as far as I can tell.

and just to make me feel better
I never really called Doctor Drift (?) a copy cat out right. In hind sight, I should of just edited my post for you all to refer to payaso's post, he put it well. I was merely saying I was not impressed with the lack of originality.

Hi all!

I guess, I´ll have to interfere your discussion for a second!

We started the whole thread just to present our website, not to start this "might-become-a-flame-war-discussion"!

@CaboWabo and @Payaso:
Just to clarify something, have you visited our site? Or is it the url "Got-Skillz.com", that proves our lack of originality? If you were offended by the url, then please read the "About The Skillaz" article at our website! It explains our personal origin of the phrase "Got Skillz!?" and what it means to us. It´s not about being a pimp!

Finally @all:
We´ve updated our website and there are 7 new track layouts online now. The making-of-informations will follow soon.

Doctor Drift

i guess that my only gripe with your site is the use of frames... which dosent allow you to scroll the left frame if you are on a small screen.. and dont have the page maximized.. even at a 800x600 res you cannot see the louge button. other than that its looking pretty good. i had the same issue on my site.. so i changed things up. besides frames can be incompatable with some browsers..
