Well, there are a lot of factors determining strength of an electromagnet, but all things being equal (wire material, temp, current, size of coils) except windings and wire gauges, the coil with smaller gauge/more windings will have more resistance, and therefore less magnetic strength. But I have limited knowledge about this so I could be wrong.

Thumbs up

That is really a great job, and a great job of documentation!

I have to admit I was skeptical when I read the title, but your methods and reasoning are right on.
Well done!

I am compiling a collection of Bitmods and this definitely is going in! Thanks

UPDATE---

Don't use a lighter to remove the enamel on the ends of the wire, instead, put some solder on the end of your soldering iron, then hold the end of the wire in the molten solder for a few seconds, and this will coat the ends.

LESS CHANCE OF SHORT CIRCUITS!

This mod is awesome!

Great job! Is the steering noticeably stronger? Like, can you turn the wheels while not moving?
