For just blasting around the Epoch is the better machine. I ve got both the Epoch and the mini Z, The Mini-z has glitched ever scince i had it. If you want the best small scale rc car get a micro RS4. It is by far the most fun, It has loads of hop-ups and uses 1/10 scale electronics. Finally the damn things are fast as hell and nearly bullet proof. Just some food for thought.

Very unique clones...

I bought a couple clones last year at Toys R us that I don't think I've ever heard mention of. They are made by MGA Entertainment and despite the ugliest wheels and a chassis as appealing as Grandma in a nightie, they have ...

TWO MOTORS (wht. endbells & gears inc. pinion) one is for accelleration while the other is...Steering!
SEPERATE CHARGE BASE ( just push button to charge)
BATTERY COMPARTMENT DOOR for easy access w/o removing the body.

I have no idea where to find these if they are even still made, but I'll see if I can put pics up later... I better get some work done

That was one of the micro's I forgot to mention. johnrtse had to remind me I had it. The box/controller just says Micro R/C right? I have the blue SUV. It's very unique. The battery has it's own compartment in the bottom. It has a lot of features I'd wish they'd carry over to Zips and Bits. The motor steering mech for starters. It's also the only cheap clone that comes with a Pistol controller. I only wish they made it a tad better. Just like the old Zips, the steering and motor don't seem to be getting enough juice.

Stridex-

of all the micros you have... which would would you recommend the most? I noticed you don't have a "rally racer" on your list. Its another clone and can be found in KB toys.

Question for everyone... where do you keep your micros if they don't come with the display cases(like the circular ones that the clones have)?

My all-time favorite has to be the "new" ZipZaps. The ones with the new PCB's. Second, third and fourth would be (in order) DigiQ, Bit/Sizers, and Nikko IRacer. My biggest dissapointment was my DigiQ Formula. It's fun seeing it spin out and watching the front wheels turn the opposite direction when turning, but it's a B**** to control and slow. The controllers digital display and programming is unbelievable though.

My favorite clone (BY FAR) is the MotorWorks at WalMart. These and the Nikko IRacer's are the best deals on the market right now. And this is only going by the old ones. The newer ones look even better. Can't wait to get a hold of one.
