Turret control available!

just found out that Konami plan to release the Turret Controls for the tanks in June.

apparently the turret can rotate 120degrees left to right as everyone who's taken one apart will know.

the interesting thing is that the much speculated controls for the turret are going to be included in the form of a new ROM!

control of the turrets will be via the left right stick whilst a fire button is depressed.... which kinda answers alot of questions we've all had now eh?

Also the JSDF tanks have been released.... sale date unknown

hope this info make a few ppl happy!

Where did you find all of this out. On the Combat DigiQ Japanese website?

Panzer: ive a friend who told me about it... apparently there is some takara exhibition going on in Tokyo at the moment... another interesting fact is that the DiverGears where absent from the display

by the sound of things the Turret controls will be in the form of a Kit for the end user to install.

the Konami website doesnt have this info... but it has listed the JSDF tanks and also mentioned a limited edition Tiger I to be released early next month!

another future release is this sound device that looks like a little pod... it generates sound effects for the DigiQ's... not sure if its going to have effects for each tank.. but word has it that it will generate sounds like acceleration and braking for all the cars and trains... its a seperate unit that seems to work by picking up the commands from the remote.

Very intersting that they would consider user upgrades for the turret control. It seems unlikely that they would not offer newer models with the function built in.

I still think Konami should release stationary ground-based targets that "blow up", such as gun turrets etc.

There's a pic of limited edition on konami site. The only difference that I see is that it's not camuflage color, just brown. I like camo much more.

They also have pics of type 74 & 90. Both look cool.

The Konami site has some additional info about the turret controls - looks like it might be in the form of revised tanks as opposed to a "Turret kit".

they have an image of the 4 existing tanks and they appear to have slightly different camo.

There is also some mention about the existing tanks... the translation is dodgy but it looks like the tanks have had a slight facelift in the form of more realistic detail.

Some places in Japan are also selling the Combats for 20% off.. Konami and Takara are apparently marketing these pretty hard at the moment...

Yes, I noticed that too. Two of the tanks have different camo. But two other tanks have the same colors but white band on them. The translation says something about the bands. Can anybody translate from Japanese?

you prob wont find out the price until later this year. and the turreted tanks will be available in June at the earliest.

you may as well get two now and by the time June rolls around get another two and have 4 of the 6 tanks. just think of the number of battle hours between now and then.
