my motorworks review
i just picked up a new motorworks car at walmart today. they had different bodies than b4, very cool. what caught my eye was a black charger looking hotrod with a blower! to cool. then i noticed the extra parts. tires, hubcaps, spoiler, bumper and su[percharger. tires are really cool. 3 types. the standard soft, the big rear slicks, and off road. i really like the off roads. there's even a compartment on the bottom of the charger for the parts. very cool. the box and the controller are different too. the box is square, and the controller is tiny! i charged it up and ran it. 2.6 all the way. quick motor. it was a little loud tho. so, i took it apart. kinda trippy construction. i checked out the gears and noticed they did'nt match too good. i changed the pinion gear and now it's much quieter and smoother. great torque. i used another 6 point pinion off a shen. i really suggest changing the pinion on these, you'll notice a big difference. all in all, great car for the money. it does have a little steering problem, but i think i can fix that. i give it a 9.

uuuh...Are you absolutely sure that's a motorworks? Because the motorworks I have don't have interchangable anything (other than the bodies). And the controllers aren't small either. Everything you've described does not fit the description for a motorworks clone. Do you have any photos or anything? Could be a new line of motorworks or something.

If you don't mind my asking, how much was it? I am extremely impressed with my original MotorWorks, so this one must be amazing!

yeah ive actually seen these myself and thought of getting one, but instead i bought an awesome game called rallisport challenge...
newho, i really liked my first motorworks clone and i believe these are even better! i took a look at it and saw some pretty cool interchangeable parts! as mentioned tires and hubcaps, but they also have fenders and spoilers that you can put on too!
as for the bodies i saw only 5. there are 2 truck looking ones, 2 that look like a sports car, one of which was a red one with gold rims!!! (<- gonna go buy that one soon), and there was also the charger mentioned a few posts ago! the cool thing about the charger is you can change the blower!
gtr2112, which one did you get? and are the motors still wired in so that you cant change them out?

Anyone have any pics of the new ones? Especially interested in the off-road one. If My darn WalMart is still out, anyone willing to hook me up? I'll pay or trade a micro skateboarder and a micro motorcycle for two of the new MotorWorks.

My little brother has that silver truck, and it is quite good. the motor is wired and none of the parts are interchangeable (except for the PCB {requires a lot of skill, i haven't done it} and maybe the front tires, I may be wrong), but the car is pretty quick and is overall a good car. there is also a little red LED on top of the PCB that lights up when you drive. Pretty cool car and one of the best clones. There is also a separate charger that can be good if you need one. Very good car.
