That's really odd, he's been VERY nice to me. Everything I've received was in perfect condition. From his point of view, I suppose he can't help if your mailman sets a TV or something on top of it... but I thought he offered shipping insurance. I'll check with him by giving him the link to this thread so he can read the situation. Robert, if you're reading this, is there anything that can be done for this poor guy? The mashed up case isn't a product defect, but the rear axle is. I guess in my experience, the customer is always right, and should only have to pay to ship it back to you if it's defective...

i was just reviewing the terms of the auction and insurance was inclueded inthe 6.99 s/h. however there is no postal service insurance so he must be insuring himself. either way im sure things will work out. and im sure hes a great e-bayer, i was just steamed earlier.
Kenkudaki: do you know this guy personally. you sound like you could be this guy...

LOL no, I'm not that guy. We're from different states even. You can see I won one of his auctions a month or so ago (my ebay ID is Kenkudaki). Anyway, I was just pleased with his service, that's all. Good prices too, so I thought I'd pass that info on as another place to get clones. I hope your experience turns out all right.

I bought from the same seller as well, and had very good customer service.
To the user who had the problem with the car, did you tell the seller exactly what was wrong with you car? What do you mean the rear axle slides? You mean when you turn, the axle actually slides out to the sides so much that it doesn't touch the gears anymore? I assume the rear axel is clipped in all the way (securely)?
As Kenkudaki said, I do find it odd, as the seller was very nice. I was really happy with the price and service I got from the seller.
Good luck with it, I'm sure things will work out. Let us know what happens.
On the bright side (if there is one), you could always use the parts. I know that one of my first purchases before, was a Charge N Go brand ($18 CDN) from a local gift store. It's not as nice as my Shen Qi Weis (which I also bought from eBay), as it was slower, and steering kind of sucked. At first I was a little depressed about it, but then I thought, I can still use it for parts (I know this is a little different, as nothing was broken with my Charge N Go, and your's is having a problem when it is steering.)
I tried my first mod (just an LED mod) about 2-3 weeks ago, and I didn't want to try my first mod out on my Shens (since I like them better, and didn't want to wreck them!), so I tried it on my Charge N Go. The Charge N Go has been my ginea pig car, and it's been good to me. I opened it up and fixed the steering, so it steers better now, and the LED light mod looks great!
Again, good luck with it, and let us know if everything works out.
Thanks for your time.

well if you were to stand the axle of that shen up against another axle you would see that the one that slides is almost a tirewidth longer. which means it dosent fit correctly.
now he wants me to pay for another car to exchange it. im begining to wonder how his insurance worked out. and glad i payed the extra for the paypal gaurentee.
i know i could probablly buy another axle for it, but then i might as well just buy another car because i can only find these in mail order.
personally its starting to piss me off.

Hi Spanky,
Sorry to hear that things didn't work out for you. But you're right, at least you have that PayPal gaurantee.
So did you get a Shen or a Panther from that seller?

i got the shen. and in looking at it i never realized befor that they have different size engines.. so that engine wont fit in anything else without modifications. o well. i guess im gonna stick to the prescious for all my clone needs, they are 100% compatiible..
also like i said befor im pissed about the ebay thing, but i am also patient.. im sure the seller and i will work things out.
