Welcome to the forums!
Before asking here you should search the site a little bit...try the big 'Tips and Mods' up there ^. It should help you quite a bit. Also check out www.questformadness.com

You can add bats to the cars, search for dual cell and triple cell mods. The addition of extra bats should make your cars fast enough.

Take the PCB out of the BIT and put in in the Zip...Scrap the Zip PCB...Buy two 150 Mah 1.2 Volt batts and duel cell it...Then buy a Fast and Furiuos body and put on it..
Or better yet, go to Wal-mart and buy a $14.00 Motorworks and use its PCB, faster than the bit PCB and smaller...
Will be very fast, more controlable at high speeds and look cool...
you can find all the help you need just by surfing the threads, there are thousands to choose from...
thats the fun of it.....

You can probably use the R-Spec motor. It isn't as fast as a 3.8 but can give you much better acceleration.

The PCB switch is not too bad, just takes some time to change over the wiring. Have to solder eight wires and then set up the batteries. I've done three so far and about to start a three cell mod with a Motorworks PCB...I suggest you just take your time and write down where all the wires go....also make sure to label the steering wires or change them over one at a time...
Just go out on the RS web site and do a location search for your area and themn just start calling about the bodies, eventually you will fing a store that has them....
Just take your time, my first one took about 3 hours...
