New M chassie Onwer

Hi all. I am posting in the Tamiya M class forum becuse I got my first MINI cooper from Towerhobbies. My question is how hard is it to convert to 4wd ? so I dont get beat ?????




and my second question is the novak dual profile speed control ( dually ) will accept a mod motor ???



its a Black onix speed gem motor ? what do you guys think?

It will be pretty hard to convert an M chassis to a 4WD setting.

You can try bolting another M chassis front end onto the back... and convert it into a 2 motors mini... but I don't know how that will change the wheel base... and no bodies might fit on the car after the modifications.....

With regards to the Novak Dually speed controllor, you shouldn't have any problems running modified motors. From memory it can handle up to 400amps of drive current... so you can stick any motor into your M-Chassis... it should be able to handle it.

Really depends on what chassis you've got.

If you've got a M01/M02 then these are designed to be either front or rear motored. Just add another motor & gearbox and you can build a twin-motor 4WD beast.

The current M03/M04 is not as flexible, and it'll be near impossible to do 4WD without some significant re-engineering.
