ZZ Chevy Truck (mod)

Getting tired of waiting for RS to make some new bodies so I'm trying to make my own. I saw someone on this board did this before but I can't remember who. The body is from a 4x4 pull back race (peterson ??? stomper ??) I forget they come in a 3 pack at Wal-Mart for $5.99 This is what I have so far and have'ent even got the Dremel out yet.

Nice body. The body could be painted bronze-like tannish chevy-like colour.

I think he cut up a body, glued it together, and cut the slits out to fit the tabs.

Yeah, and pretty cheap to do. But it requires talent.

Yep

Yes I cut the box off just behind the cab. Then I cut the fenders off the box and shortend them and reglued them to the cab.

All so notched the front bumper so the cab sits at the right hight.

Tool Used: Hobby Saw, Flat File, swiss ary knife

I still had to get some model putty and finish it up

Yeah, and I believe that body is on the Zip Zaps Porsche 911 chassis [judging by the wheels].

Yes, that is a very cool Zip Zap body. Now just try at a '00 Chevy Silverado body [I know that's the smaller Chevy truck].
