the 2.6 has crazy torque, a great balance of speed and torque, my fave over the 2.2 and the 3.0 right now.

ok. heres my problem. i did the 2.4v battery turbo mod with my clone. unfortnately it only runs slower. could i have missed something??
so i am understangind this correctly the wiring should be something like this
pcb board > +battery1 > -battery2 > +back to pcb.
did i do that right??
please dont say it wont work because its a clone!!! im experimenting on this little chunk.

you shouldn't have had to mess with the PCB just the batteries and metal connectors in the chassis.

but yes you do have to mess with the pcb. if you dont you will not be able to charge the 2.4v that the 2 batteries needs. this is the 2 battery turbo mod. not the mod to make it run longer. the batteries are wired in series not parallel. if they were wired parallel then leaving the controller would be ok, it would just take mulptile charges to get the batteries fully charged.
description of the 2.4v battery mods here

oops. pcb i was thinking controller. i didnt mess with the pcb. that shows that the wire comes from the pcb to the positive of battery one, then from the negative of bat1 to the positive of bat2 and from the neg of bat2 back to the pcb.

lol
yeah, I was like why is he messing with the cars PCB?
You definitely need a multi-cell or ACl charger to get a dual cell up to it's full potential.

cool. i have a 4 cell holder thingy from my bigger rc car. i think it was supposed to be used for the reciever in the car if i didnt have an ESC. anyway it will work great now that i think about it. it still has the plug on it so i think im just going to leaave the charger on the controller, and put a plug on it so i can just plug in the 4cell battery pack. and then put a buncha velcro on the back of it to stick it to the controller..
how long should the charge times be for a 4 cell charger?

hmm...now that's a good question
I typically leave my car on the AC charger for 3 minutes. I have a 800mA voltage adjustable charger: I have it set to 4.5volts.

are there any electrical geniuses out there that could possibly post some type of time scale for charging moded cars. for example a 2 cell car on 3 batteries, on 4 batteries, on a car battery... lol that kinda thing.

ok, time to put to gether the 4cell charger... am i supposed to just wire this directly to the charger? or do i need some other electronics along with it? using 4 cells sounds like it might do some damage to the batteries in thecar.. is it to much voltage to charge with? ive only got 2 cells in my car.
i dont understand why the two AA's wont give it a full charge... im not gonna run any risk in frying anything with 4 AA batteries am i? 4 AAs would be 6v.
