Anyone tried this yet?

Well last night i was messing around with my car in my room and my range blows only like 5 feet with a dual cat5 intenna, well anyway i walked up to my sterio and i was like lets try this. So i put the tip of my contoler intenna on my sterio antenna, the clear ones with like the orange wiring, (the fm intenna) and it work and when i took the tip off and it didnt, so im wondering if anyone has cut some off the intenna from ur sterio for you bit antenna, and has anyone tried to the telo antennas on phones for better range?
Im still deciding if i want to cut my sterio wires =(

I think that telescopic antennas are the best way to go. Also, search for information on the cripple capacitor modification for your controller (cripple cap). It sounds like you have one that needs to be cut out. After doing these to mods to my controller, I get over 30 feet in range easy.

nope, i dont have a cap on my controler but i do have one on the pcb on the car

i've added a huge television ant on my xmitter, it's kinda too large but it does the job. the thing pulled out is almost 3 feel long. excellant transmission
