OK, I've calmed down a bit and reread all of Groove's posts. The only huge corporate secret he revealed was how much of a discount he gets. If the memo of November sited by the dictator is correct and only two Zips can be bought by Rat Shak employees, then Groove was mistaken and not giving anything away. But, didn't Hitler spill the beans on that top secret eyes only memo? The district manager was also mentioned by name. Another infraction of the policy not to mention employee status online. And there's all of those code abreviations and dates. I'd like to know who this person is. Perhaps their District Manager needs to know how many corporate rules they have broken. The blade cuts both ways. Or are you immune to your own rules? And, then there's that moderator over on the other forum. She has publicly stated her employee status and rank online. Did you threaten her publicly as well? She has mentioned memos, given basicly the same information on releases and so on. Where's you corporate scorn over that? This is starting to smell very peculiar.

it's listed in his profile. Doesn't look like corporate material. And here's his email address if anyone would like to ask him anything. Like who his District Manager is.

Well, I'm still here. I am still employed with RR. I am looking for new employment come january.

Correct to Asimov's post, I haven't given away any corperate secrets. The 2 things that I have violated on, I have corrected.

All of the things I have said, are things any person calling the store could be told. I'll continue to answer questions here. Although I will be concious of what I say.

So, Keep those questions comming.

Because, I've got answers

Well then...

First of all, I'd like to apologize to those of you that are unable to read. I'm terribly sorry that your opinions of the world make you automatically jump to the conclusion that because I'm reminding someone (Groove) of something he has obviously forgotten, you automatically assume that I'm trying to silence him. If that was the case, why would I have posted something about it instead of just picking up the phone and calling his DSM?

Now, for the fun part of this post.

Obviously not if you break the same rules you dictate. Which you did. And, if you don't have a DM, then what the hell do you care anyway? Why did you specifically name Groove's DM? What buisness is it of yours what people say in a public forum? Please elaborate on your motives. Because you seem like the type that has nothing better to do. Do you like just calling people up on the carpet to get your jollies? What gave you the impression that it's your place to do so? You obviously have access to Rat Shak information. Not at all Hiero. Standing up for what you believe in is what separates the wheat from the chaff. If more folks did it, we'd live in a much better world.
I'd like to attempt to get this thread back on track since I am partly responsible for hijacking it.
Groove, do you have anymore info on when that Beetle body comes out? And, is there any rumor about what the new accessories may be?

well, I don't know for sure when the beetle starter kit will be out. I do know however that we were never supposed to have a black porche.

In the newest kit (german imports) that just came in, the origonal catalog from october showed that there was supposed to be a green beetle and a red porche. So.... looks like they changed that.
The popular speculation about the beetle is that it will come out sometime in january. I don't have anything to back this up, don't take it as actual fact, but it seems to be the accepted thought around the store.

As for new parts.... dunno, I'd suspect we might see a drift kit eventually. Maybe faster engines. Then again, I've nothing to back that up with.

Here are some must kits if you want to put Microsizers in the dust.

1. Back To the Future Kit. His black truck and the Delorian(sp?). Throw some new(design) tires, gears and a NOS motor in the package.

2. Not a fan at all, but people love the speed racer stuff. I don't get it.

3. Dukes of Hazzard kit. The General Lee and a cop car. Throw in some ramps, rims, motors, tires and gears.

4. Star Wars Kit. The Speed Cruiser and a racing Pod. People would just buy the bodies. Wouldn't worry about any extras. Plus the more extras, the higher the price and the more you have to share with Lucas.

5. Biggest of them all. The Nascar kit. One per set. Make sure they're the real thing. Allow others to buy their favorite drivers car. I'll would gladly pay $15 for a Kurt Busch car. Even if it's just the body. Will need to come with Nascar rims, NOS motor and the red gears.

The most recent word I have on the Beetle is this:

VW didn't agree with the terms of the license for it's likeness, the company that manufactures them was scrambling to make VW happy.

As for new kits, January is the in-store date for new "cars" (quoted from ZipZaps.com in the news section). I have no clue what, or how many this means, as nobody upstairs has shared info with me yet. But my intuition tells me to expect at least one Chevy body, possibly a Dodge in the next few months.

Again, most of this is speculation, but it's the best info I have.
