I am interested in more info. on the m-24 mid too. Akura2 stated
that he put a 180 in his mid. How difficult would that be? Can extra cells be added, like with the mini-x? Looking at the body, it looks to be too tight of a fit for any extra cells. I could probably do w/o that much extra speed, but I was just curious. I've been
waiting for months to decide what to get. I loved the mini-z, but
really want a 1:24 so I can fit my own bodies. Right now my decision is narrowed down to the kawada mid, but I want to find out more about the yokomo car too.

I have an MR-S on mine, I'll have to take a pic.

Well, it has side-mounted batteries like the Mini-Z, so it's not going to be easy, but you could probably stow another two cells in the central cavity without too much difficulty.

Very easy... there is already a provision in the rear flex plate for moving the rear pod back far enough to add the 180...it's even in the instructions...you just can't run the car any narrower than 72mm in the rear

Personally I'm using a Mini-X RS Set (incl. servo). I'm sure any micro servo such as the HS-81MG will work well.

I did fix the problem and its 98% built. What I am thinking about doing is buying the ball diff. and maybe the sanwa speed control unit.

Yes, I do have a KO 1100 with reverse. Might try that before buying the ES-01. I went out and bought a GWS Naro-HP BB servo, and I recycled a mucury novak rec. It going to be a hell of a car when done. I post pictures when the wife returns with our digital camera.
