An important point that no one has brought up is warranty. This makes Microsizers (US version of TOMY BC-G) the best choice hands down. When your clone stops working the second time you run it, you can't really do much except say, "oh well, it was only $15." But if you have a problem with your Microsizer, you can go to microsizers.com, fill out a service request, and they will fix/replace it until you're content.

My friends who had LXX clones were very happy with them, until they they tried my Tomys. The LXX "3.0" is about the same speed as a Tomy 2.2, and they just seem to be a little louder. They do come with a 120 ma/h NiMH battery and are easily upgradable though. They paid $22 for the LXX, for $4 more I got a Tomy + a 2.6 motor (including shipping).

BTW my boosted bit w/ 3.5 motor goes 10 ft in 1.95 sec.(But I only get about 10 ft range w/ all antenna and crip cap mods).

whats these crip caps im hearing about? do they have any on a rx-7? dose it make beter range? dose it mess up your bit when doing it?

The cripple capacitors limit the range. Some controllers have them and some cars have one on the pcb. The one on the car is somewhat difficult to remove as it is about 1mm long and adjacent to other components. From my experience removing it did nothing and you risk frying your car if not very careful with soldering iron and tweezers. If you do a search for cripple capacitors there are excellent pictures (also try questformadness.com in the mods).I haven't found a good database for which cars/controllers have them, but with all the experts around here, I'm hooping we have one soon.

i find it halarious when people say that if you dont have a tomy car it is junk without offering any real concrete evidence to back that up besides it is the original. and the original has to be better because of the brand name.

if you go by that then ford would be the best brand of cars ever made. hahahahah

you buy what you can afford. if you want quality buy a microsizer if you want inexpensive fun buy a clone. you pay for what you get. as long as you enjoy it then it shouldnt matter what it is! geez ppl just be happy with you got and go race somthing

then uve never seen the saleen mustang...? the lincoln LS...?! the fordr gt40(faster than ferrari)? the ford thunderbird? all of these are 2003 i know this is off topic but FORD owns rolls royce(the highest prced street car in the world), austin martin.....ford is the best car ever made.

Just a little point of order here,,
Ford DOES NOT own Rolls Royce,, VW does, and soon BMW will.

Personally I don't think Fords are the best cars in the world, but that's my own humble opinion. (I work for the competition)

It just goes to show you that opinions are like poop chutes,, everyone has one, right or wrong, everyone has one. And my opinion is that brand name does not matter, performance does.

Well, I can settle all this nonsense. I have 4 clones, 7 microsizers and 5 bits. And, you guys didn't believe I spend my whole paycheck every week on these cars?

They are all fun!!!

My personal favorite is the Microsizer...but only after I mod the crap out of it. Now go mod your mini so it will look like the real car you will never own. That's my goal anyway.

tiny my first shen (dont tell anyone) i opend it and i broke the sterring wire and i took it back to the mall where i got it and i got a replacment. so bits and m/s arent the only ones with a warrenty.

my bad bunta, i meant jaguar of course(also mazda) but at a time ford did own rolls royce, probably before we wereal born...

Saleen Mustang technically is a heavily modified mustang. i know you'll say its still a "stock" mustang since you can get them from Ford dealerships. 03 T Bird is cool and all, but not exactly fast. GT40 is tight, so are Shelby GT500 (hmmm, GT500). but ford, from my own personal experience of owning two fords, don't have the best build quality.

i guess my point is all cars have their ups and downs. my LXX with a 3.8 is quicker than any ZZ i've seen or raced and definatly faster than any clone, but my range sucks. ups and downs...

saleen mustang is a special edition you cannot modify a regular mustang with parts from a shop to make it a saleen. to the average americans' standards is fast, The average person's car goes about 100-140 and the top speed is 160 on the t-bird its faster than the average car making it fast. My dad has 4 fords 2 are lincolns(Navigator, and Lincoln LS V8) and the Lincold LS reaches 60 mph in 3 seconds. In a race my dad beat an austin martin(which is a ford anyway) and a viper rt/10 on the jersey turnpike. read my signature for the answer to that. Thebuild quality by far surpasses many of the high end cars with its computer controlled maintenace system(which is viewd by the driver on a screen) and its dual exaust. Ford owns many of the car companies we know and love so when someone says ford isnt the best build of a car they are talking about all of those ocmpanies. If you see James bond you will notice every car in the movie is a ford. Im not arguing or anything i am just throwing in my 2 cents

In my opinion again i say ford is the best car(they have the rx7!!!)

I highly doubt your dad's lincoln LS 0-60 time is 3 seconds. I wouldnt believe you if you said 5 seconds. I did a search on google and every site said 7+ seconds. And to beat a viper, he probably wasnt racing.
