Thanks you guys. I'll try both Autozone and WalMart's Auto section.

They even have this stuff at Rite Aid, Walgreens, Target, practically anywhere. You don't have to get this online. They're usually located in the hardware section. It comes in a ribbon about 1" wide is in 2 different colors. It sticks to any non-oily surface, but you can help adhesion by roughing up the surfaces you want it to bond to with some sandpaper first.

btw since we are on the topic of putty, how long is the norma drying/harden time?
is there anyway to speed this process?
ive used Tamiya model putty...and it takes hours to fully harden..
can i like...toss it in the microwave ? or leave it in front of a portable heater?...
i remember in my sculpting class, we some cheezy figures out of clay and what not and tossed it in this "kelm"[sp???] thingy to heat it til it was hard...

If the putty is around plastic, which it should be for support and sturdiness, you can not put any direct heat on it. It'll warp the plastic. Best thing is just leave it in a warm room and let it dry over night. It might even take longer then a night. I bought some epoxy putty the other day and 24 hours later, it's still not hardened completely. Heat is out of the question. But, maybe there are chemical solutions to speed this process. I'd love for it to harden faster as well.

Thumbs up putty

I have used Squadron White Putty. The dry time is about 30 min.
and then you can sand.
