Looks kinda hard to drift on, let alone race on with a real fast motor...

im still trying to find the right surface, posterboard just wont do...im probably going to use the glossy kind...im not sure if i want to bring my Bit to the store and test all the surfaces possible..
and i also want to try to see if charcoal on the track will make it slide a little more..

MTL:

I've used a sheet of pink isulation foam that I bought at a hardware store to make a track. It was one inch thick and about 4x8 feet.

-I worked out the layout of the track on the top of the foam.
-Drew the final track outline with jiffy marker.
-Used an xacto to cut out where the track was drawn on the foam and took those parts out.
-Took the whole thing out onto the driveway and used a small blow torch to melt the foam into rough, craggy, rocky shapes without destroying the layout of the track.
-painted the whole thing with black latex house paint.
-drybrused the whole thing with varying shades of grey and brown latex house paint.
-glued some fake grass and shrubs here and there.

What I now have is something that can be layed on top of any surface and have that surface show through as the track. Looks kinda kooky on my wood floors though. I'd like to get a big sheet of glass that I could lay under it painted black.

This is a pic of something along the same lines someone made for warhammer.

that seems a little time consuiming for me

so today, i went to mjdesigns, and looked at some foam boards...and maaan were they expensive....i only bought one today to see if it would be good enough to use my bit on...and it was perfect...really slick to
but one board costs $5 GASP!!
so i went ahead and bought 2 sheets of posterboard for 99cents each....
well the foam board works good..but ill need at least 2-3 of them...
next step is to buy green, brown, and white tempra paint and some saramwrap.
then after that, ill actually either spend some time to calculate the track layout using a grid method, or just freehand it...
